Coffee

Why a topic about coffee in a group about eating better? Coffee has been reported to be the largest source of antioxidants in the western diet. Coffee is a frequent topic of the pump club newsletter, it’s natures pre-workout and has so many health benefits.

Hi, I’m Dave and i am a coffee-holic. I have definitely drank too much of it at times, and i have also quit cold turkey for periods. I have loved the stuff from a young age though.. coffee ice cream when i was in Hawaii during a vacation in elementary school, coffee with those powdered white donuts, the large cup of Mcdonald’s coffee before school in high school that made me buzzed until 3rd period.

There was a time when they thought coffee was bad for us, it was later realized the studies with coffee and heart disease were flawed due to the inclusion of cigarette smokers who happen to love coffee also.

I have all these inflection points in my life where i learned more about coffee, from the time i went to a coffee shop in Chicago and saw coffee brewing devices that looked like they came out of a chemistry lab. Or when i read about a coffee device in a book about cooking and realized how amazing coffee can be made with a plastic device that you is portable and you can easily travel with.

Let’s talk about it all here, what do you like coffee wise. Do you have favorite roasters, or coffee rituals. How much do you drink daily? My usage varies, sometimes i will drink it before a workout, other times i delay my coffee use until later in the day.

A special shoutout to my Pump club friends Kai and Salla from Finland a country who drinks the most coffee per capita in the world.
