80/20 Running
I am liking the concept of 80/20 running. 80% of the runs are easy runs at below ventilatory threshold. The other 20% could be high intensity or speed work. Lots of interesting things to parse out, obviously intensity influences what substrate is burned (i.e. the long discussed fat burning zone) From other studies cited in here, duration and distance have an impact on fat loss as would be expected (this gives some targets) Duration of >195 minutes/week Distance of >32 km/week
